Tracer torch

Recommended Posts

My shooting pal bought an Optic Fire TX67 IR torch for shooting at longer distance and it does just that however on his rimmy, there is not a lot of room to fit the T67 which presented an issue. Yesterday I popped into my RFD and borrowed a Tracer Ledray IR which is listed to have a 400m beam....................................................not so sure about 400m but at 180m it gave superb results and I am sure it will illuminate out further but that was not being checked and of course for both fac air and the rimmy, it will serve my pal very well. I must say the detail shown via the two NV units my pal has was amazing with very small detail easily showing on screen.

As a test, I popped it onto my Impact with the Nitesite Viper to act as an extra light source to extend my operating distance at night, bloody hell, these tiny little torches are really so good, I am gobsmacked. If anybody is needing a really good little torch for nocturnal hunting, take a serious look at these and at £70, half the cost of many top brands and certainly my T50.

Anyway, we called in the RFD today and bought one each and is now sat on the Impact ready for tonight's foray.

I do rate those torches Phil.

I got a Ledray 1000 in a swap 3yrs ago, it had been well used when I got it and, it's still going strong.

I only use it to find shot quarry but, if I put it on full power and aim it at the clouds, it gives a massive bright beam. You could use the thing for the bat signal

Yes, fcuking light pellets So. Bis mags now so we will see how they work.

What pellets did you use So.

Phil

It shot well with bis mags phil, it was just they dropped off a lot at far ranges... was spot on with any 8.4’s out of the jsb factory to?

Never tried any super light weights.

Put a couple of dry felt pads through it first
