get to it 0
3/4 cross bull would be better if any. 1/2 cross a bit heavy for my liking. but really a beddy whippet would be good. Quote Link to post

Mars 42
dont listen to the anti bullcross , they will do what you want , they are not a hare dog but have feet and legs like scaffold poles and will pick up rabbits while ferreting quite easy , also if you would of come across anything else preban they wouldnt of held back . my old first cross 1st gen always made a mess of the first rabbit but after that had quite a soft mouth , anything else mind ........ different story oh and when we are talking about bullcross i think we should say that these are staff cross From your post you could of been describing my bitch, although i will add that ifleft to their own devices they are capable of catching a daytime winter "large rabbit" Quote Link to post
connie 0
how easy are they to break to stock how are thy around other dogs Quote Link to post
Chubs 0
I've seen them do everything if schooled correctly, didn't a half cross rosie win the obedience at chatsworth a few years back? i could be way off, her owner i think is on here maybe he'd like to say? I've found bull types VERY easy to train as they very keen to please. Quote Link to post
tod 3
if you want a bullcross as an allrounder, as a safe bet i would go for a 3/4grey 1/4 bull. Quote Link to post
Vulpes vulpes 2
Bull crosses aren't really my thing but i have seen a first cross and a bullgrey/whippet that would catch and retrieve rabbits live to hand on the lamp, my preference would be for a 3/4 bred rather than a first cross if i was using it for rabbits. They are fine with other dogs as long as they are socialised properly and fine with stock just like any other cross i have seen as long as they are broken properly. Quote Link to post
hunting_mad_jock_lad 1
not a half cross he was 9/16 7/16 bull grey and about 6 stone. also caught a long legged rabbit too this night(all walked up) Quote Link to post
