A break in the weather

With the gear still ready from last evening I saw an opportunity with a break in the rain to get out for a few hours this afternoon. Needed to find somewhere sheltered as it was very gusty. Drove around and saw a tree with a few woodies on so went and set up 30yds up wind from this hoping they would return and land facing me. The field next door was recently sown so put out a few decoys to give them confidence to return although I would concentrate on the tree. It was a bit slow with probably no more than a dozen returning throughout the session and only a few presented a clear shot. Still great to be out even though the temperatures did drop.
