IanB 0
No question, if you want an add on, get a Ward 800. http://www.nightvisionstore.co.uk/ward-d-vision-800s-digital-night-vision-c2x21073807
polishunter1 47
Ian what are they like on hawk sidewinder 8x24x56 with pbir would you recommend one out to 200 yds thanks fella
IanB 0
They work brilliant with Hawke Sidewinders, do you mean 6-24x sidewinder model, they work great I wouldn't go for the higher mag next model up though as field of view can be too restrictive ... I use mine with a sidewinder and Dragonfly laser and I can take a shot at 400yds on 16x-20x mag ... Thats impressive and partly down to the Dragonfly itself... I also use it on close up stuff with my FX FAC airgun and rimfires, great all-round units.

IanB 0
There’s a lot of choice out there, that’s for sure. Depends if you want to swap between rifles or want a dedicated unit. I use a Ward 800, Trail XQ50, Apex XQ50 LRF and a Drone Pro. They all have there individual benefits.. What do you need to shoot, ranges and on what rifle?
polishunter1 47
Thanks for replying rabbits out to 100 yds foxes out to 250 max but identifying is a must swaying towards a ward my xq50 f will also be used so that's takes out the identifying and sorry I would mostly use on 17 hornet thanks Ian top man for being honest
IanB 0
Get a Ward 800 S if you already have a thermal spotter. Get a 50mm upwards AS IR LED torch for out to 250yds on upto 12-14x mag max, if you want to use your scopes full magnification at 16-24x and be able to shoot out to 400yds, not spot, but shoot then combine it with a Dragonfly torch.
