Is there many litters of first cross pit/grey getting bred or is it 2,3,4, generations now with bits and pieces in them, that question is to anybody.

I have a genuine first x dog out of a well bred bull dog and a coursing bred greyhound bitch he’s only first x I’ve came across rest have all been bull x to bull x

I would rather have a lined bred one from back when pits were better than have a f1 now from some European rubbish. There are still a few about not contaminated with Saluki or Collie.

But if you're not in the know how are you meant to do that?

Be better to breed a first cross yourself tbh.

Better to breed from a 1st x that has already shown its worth after being watered down.

That's of course if you're in the know, anybody who would breed from a dog they haven't seen needs their head testing IMO.

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
