We get a large number of jackdaws sitting on the roof if i shot them on the roof they are bound to fall next door which i dont want . How can i tempt them down into the garden below the 6ft fencing ? The one 8,479
Think i would try cage trapping them in the garden rather than shooting them and pissing off your next door neighbours Quote Link to post

My point was you can't just shoot them because they get on your nerves. You have to try other methods to get rid of them first. General licences You can use a general licence to kill or capture certain wild birds (including removing or destroying their eggs and nests) to: prevent the spread of disease stop serious damage to livestock, food, crops, growing timber, fisheries or inland water preserve public health and safety conserve other wild birds If none of the above reasons apply, you can't shoot them. A few other people on this site would do well to read and understand this. Hope this helps. Quote Link to post

You don't need to apply for a GL. As long as one or more of the above criteria are met, crack on. Quote Link to post

Sounds like you're covered under the health risk bit. Get yourself an air rifle - you can have it on your shoulder while working and, shoot them when an opportunity presents itself Quote Link to post

Rimfireboy! 1,463
If they’re crapping all over your feed bays get ‘em shot. They will spread disease. Edited April 14, 2018 by Rimfireboy! Bad spelling Quote Link to post

PLEDGEY 496
If you have a corvid problem and can't shoot for some reason build a ladder trap. If used correctly they will catch shit loads of birds. You can get instructions on how to build one off of the B.A.S.C. site. Quote Link to post
