What’s the best way to catch a call bird, for a Larsen trap?  Tia

I always get mine from a ladder trap . Or from another keeper who has traps going . I’m going to start in a couple of weeks . If you still haven’t got one message me , if you aren’t too far from me .

I just use a Larsen trap. In nesting season a mock nest draws them in. At other times of the year bread does the trick.

Considering how difficult magpies are when stalking to shoot them, against how gullible they are to fall for a Larsen trap.

Go and visit a gamekeeper near you,I’m sure he will happily give you one,but remember they’re fast little fuckers
