woodga 170
well a friend of ratcherman has been having problems with foxes hitting his game birds, ducks , hens ,and they have been sizing up the pigletts so we had a recon just to put a few fox snares down we put out six wires along some well used run ways and the first morning saw a vixen in the wire dead. today we were checking the snare again and found this big old dog fox we later weighed him and he was just over 25lb a good size and in prime condition here are a few pictures from this mornings jaunt ideal setting for a fox food to order a nice run along a pig mesh fence ideal for the wires a set snare at the begging of the run a wire under a fence leading into the wood just waiting ratcherman with his fox learning the ropes the dog fox caught along the top run the snare reset waiting for the next one the fox was in good condition we took it home and case skinned it for ratcherman nice pelt as well Edited December 27, 2007 by woodga Quote Link to post
