Cleaning advise

Hi lads, my bitch took a bit to much stick on the weekend and has a bit of a swollen face she is eating but food is getting stuck in her face. I’m cleaning it regularly but I was just wondering what methods are best to prevent infection in this area because it smells a bit funny?

salt water flush a few times a day or the sea if she likes swimming then dry the cut and I use an antiseptic powder to create an antiseptic scab

Flush the inside of her mouth with salt water?

I use bleach diluted with water others use salt and water and Iodine.

the saline eye washes should let youflush the desired area, but obviously don't be letting it drink loads of salt water, inside is a hard area, but the dogs saliva helps too

If it's smelling it's infected already and you need some decent strength antibiotics,had my russell take some stick before xmas and my vet told me (i did know but had forgot just how good it is)to get some manuca honey and just pack his holes and wounds with it and be feck mate it's stuff from the gods the way it helps heals and don't scrimp on part manuca honey get the proper stuff and it's the best £10 you will spend for a while..

The smell is just the food sitting in her swollen gum I’m sure

Double check bear and feel if its warm or hot it might be a infection

Again salt water,  just maybe check and make sure the foxes tooth hasn’t broke of and got stuck in the muzzle,  seen this happen a few times

Clean it properly, guarantee your not cleaning it thoroughly enough.

Peroxide 6% for first couple flushes helps bubble any shit out or bad bacteria
