jetro 5,349
I used to work for a farmer you had up to nearly 3000 sheep. His yards were spotless. I mean they were like newly bulit and never used. Worked for another one and his yard was the most disgusting place i ever saw. I told him one day he should tidy up the place. He said stock dont mind it so why should I. Just shows the difference between some of them. Atb j
sussex 5,777
One of the drives on our little Shoot was the Iron pond ....dried up pond filled with more old sh1t than you could shake a fcuking stick at , rolls of old barbed wire stock fence , machinery , metal panels , wheels you name , if it was rusty , busted or fcuked it was there covered in a sea of weeds and scrub ..all just in case it might come in handy some day . I recon some stuff must have been there thirty year or more ...
neil r 1,844
I used to work at a calf rearers and it was always clean , we used to sweep the yard nearly every day and if we’d brought the sheep in or had a load of calf’s in the pens for dehorning we power washed the yard down . Plastics and twine were put in big sacks and taken to the tip . The farms either side were the same aswell but we once put some sheep on a farm over ribchester/Longridge way and it was manky . The yard was deep in shit and feed sacks , wrapping and netting was everywhere , bits of it stuck on fences and hedges . All they did with it was pile it in the yard and it just got blown about when the wind picked up .
