rob reynolds uk 3
i think they are all out of focus ,to be truthful..i have the same camera ..heres one of my pics against one of yours and you will see ..check your setting ..use your disc ? and take more than one pic of he same subject .. borderboy 80
they are a bit blurry they were with my lens at max... its only a little 18-55mm jobby... and the pictures have been cropped heavily, so i assume thats where some of the quality was lost.... the image the robin was taken from... And the weasel I am saving for a sigma 70-300 which i think'll make abit of difference... YIS BB
Guest MOLLY
Doesnt really have anything to do with the lens, if they are blurry. Download picasa, it is free and you wont loose quality when cropping, i use only this for everything..... http://picasa.google.com/ I only use the basic lens....sit and take a picture of a flower, blade of grass etc and try all the different settings Basic lens.... borderboy 80
I have had a bit of advice on the other forum, i will put it all into practice tommorow, and hopefully show you the results, i've downloaded that picasa seems a decent simple bit of software, thanks... I think the problem with the first few pictures was with the focal points... the camera was focusing itself on the trees ect, rather than what i wanted it too... have changed that now though... borderboy 80
I took aload more pictures today, with the camera set a little differently... i think they're abit better... what do you think... I also used picasa to crop them... very easy to use... Thanks BB.
Guest MOLLY
If you want the camera to focus on a subject (flower etc) but the auto focus focuses on something in front of it like you said it does, change to manual focus, and zoom it to where you want it Plus when using picasa if you crop the photo but keep its dimensions the same as the picture (eg keep it in a landscape shape and keep the borders around the bit you want roughly the same size it will crop to the size of the original pic This pic may explain better?... Also try using the picasa 'sharpen' on your pics, you will find it enhances the subject more Moll.
