Phill-W68 547
Well I could kick myself decided to go for the bsa r10 se .25 calibre, picked it up today got it home checked it over all good, cleaned the barrel, put a few shots through chrono all going well when the bolt didnt close so like an idiot pulled the bolt back and double loaded ended up doing it four times without thinking now the mag wont come out, the bolt doesnt close and I suppose four pellets in the barrel, any help guys, I can rotate the mag with my finger and I can see a pellet half In the breech but back end of pellet has not cleared the mag wall... Help please Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,557
This is why I wont touch anything that "WILL" double load, as in the thick of adrenalin, and quick, successive shooting, - it is so easily done. Phil , it`s a brand new gun, take her to your RFD again,- your not the first to do this by any means and let him sort it mate . Don`t beat yourself up over it neither, as accidents do happen. 1 Quote Link to post
Mark_mjs93 164
decock the gun, safety, use a rod to work the pellets free of the breach. Once the first is free from the breach and back into the mag you should be able to remove the mag and then use the rod to unjam the barrel. Put a few individual rounds through the gun and you should be all good. Alternatively if you're not comfortable doing this I'd follow Marks advice and take it to the gunsmith, they will usually have it sorted in no time I have done this a few times with my RWS, it's relatively easy to fix yourself but as said, if it's a brand new gun or you're not confident don't be afraid to take it back and get it sorted. 1 Quote Link to post
Phill-W68 547
Cheers guys, I'm use to the hw100 simple to load no fiddly bits and no double loading, shame weihrauch dont do a .25 calibre, 1 Quote Link to post
Premier Pistol 30
Ooops... I've had to rectify this issue a few times when other people have managed to do the same. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ROD THE PELLETS OUT WITH THE MAG IN PLACE, that will only damage the mag, the loading bush and or the bolt. You need to remove the magazine to allow the gun to be stripped down so there is a catch 22 element here, honestly, they can be a nightmare at times. Grit your teeth and use a little extra force on the bolt and it will clear enough to allow the mag to be removed, it may need a little wiggle and can even require a tap from a soft faced mallet but the pellets are softer than the probe and it will eventually go. Hopefully, shards of lead wont block up the hole in the centre of the probe but that can happen and requires the bolt being removed and cleaned out. Once the mag is out you can rod out the pellets from the barrel, if they wont budge, the gun will need to be stripped to remove the barrel and some heat will help to soften and remove the lead. Hope you get it sorted. Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
Any BSA .25 . Load Magazine then Tip the Rifle Barrel downward then cock it. All the very best Quote Link to post
kriss 33
I have exactly same gun r10 se in 25 cal and only couple of months old. last week when I was out had same prob the bolt would not push home so pulled bolt back and removed mag. my prob was mag was sticking not rotating fully. I stripped mag cleaned it out and put more tension on spring inside mag and now it really does turn fully when loading. when you sort your stuck pellets out id strip that mag and do same as me or it will happen again. good luck with yours. mark williams 7,557
Just buy any HW 100, in any format lads and no more problems whatsoever ! That`s the gun they are ! Quote Link to post
just-A-snap 1,269
BSA know that the .25 Magazine is problematic with not having an oring, that is why they advise to Tip the Rifle Barrel downward then cock it. All the very best Quote Link to post

mattwhite 1,993
I've not had the issue with the .177 yet. I know phills was an issue with the bolt so its a bit different but I was always taught, "if in doubt, fire into the ground" that way your either empty or you have just avoided a double load. Or keep an eye on the indexing number on the mag. Quote Link to post

Phill-W68 547
GOOD news guys, jammed mag is out and barrel is pellet free, I managed to wiggle the mag out, shot the gun to clear the barrel but didn't happen, but lucky for me I do a lot of archery and my outdoor competition arrows are carbon and 5mm outer diameter, so I took the silencer off gently slid the arrow up the barrel and a few gentle nudges cleared the barrel (yes I did take the point off the arrow first ☺ ).... No damage apart from a couple of scuffs on the magazine, still dont like the magazines tho... So a big THANKYOU to all who responded with their ideas, much appreciated.... 4 Quote Link to post
