Still think they are over priced over rated crap imo  sorry

Go for the older ones mate - the prices are good and, in my honest experience, they perform well - I reckon they're better and more reliable than the newer stuff

Had a fella round today from off here, I wanted him to have a try with one of my guns to see how he liked it. Well it certainly wasn't the best day for it with the wind gusting between 10 and 30m

Been out tonight Rob didn't get feck all mind fields are like lakes need a boat not boots or Welles lol and the photon had me up the wall lol but i enjoyed it all just the same

I'm not arguing that, in fairness most of them are, just lucky I happened to get a very good one at a decent price, hell I've paid a lot more for some of my scopes than I paid for this gun.

MK3 and MK4`s are supposed to be the Hunting Lads choice in Daystate with the lads at my club.

Better choice is HW 100 in any format, forever and a day in my and many other`s opinion :good:

I can't argue with that Mark - I've tried a fair few and, the HW100 will always be my favourite hunting rig

But, this Mk3 is so smooth and accurate to use - the feckin thing is almost almost telepathic.

The trigger is sensitive but once you get a feel for it, it's very easy to use.

I'm not a fan of the electronics - give me a Merlyn, LR90 or HW100 any day

Certainly nice shooting! Im not familiar with all the brands out there, but if my memory is correct, thats a pcp rifle... isnt it?

How many shots did you put in that group?

What position did you use for shooting?

Cheers

Yes bud, pcp.

think that was 7 shots, the first two or three were to get zero on another target.

sitting in my garden chair ?

Been planting a few seeds rabid?

Yes mate, he wants a new gun, I need to thin mine down a bit, he also needs to get more experience with as many rifles as possible to see what he likes and suits him, I don't care if he wants it or not, he is working through my rifles and getting a feel of things, so that's all good experience.

In all honesty I'd have a DS in the blink of an eye. But they are high end bling when they work. I've never known one personally not to work mind, but just hear things from others. Like all models and manufacturers, there are problems. The ones I've shot have been pretty bob on.

Think I'll have a pulsar next year. Peppermint pulsar :) and just keep it in its box.

Not for me, I used my mates and didn't particularly like it, he loved it mind, but got bored of that as well and sold it.

Outstanding shooting, it still takes the finger on the trigger, well done Rabid. As to Daystate Air Rifles overall I do not know, as I haver never had one in my hands or have ever been tempted to handle one when at an RFD

All the very best

Not really that outstanding mate, yeah it's good, but the gun can and does do better, looking forward to a nice still day to have a play.

Got to say the Merlyn was some thing else

Only got rid as some thing came up and needed the wonga

it was nearly the hw100ks that went

it was that close .

Iv had 3 or 4 rifles off Jon and a few bits and peaces all have been like new

but that Merlyn she was stunning and some thing a bit special.

P*sses me off when you think about the rifles we have had and had to let go just to pay a bill or some thing

I'm just lucky, I have a perfect hw100 as well, it's been an agonising 6 months deciding what I am going to keep and what's going I can tell thee.

Yeah your right bud, I've also been out myself, feck me I could have swam round the fields quicker and quieter, saw one fox but only a fleeting glimpse as it dissapeared through a hedge, so grabbed the air rifle and had a little wander with the dog, only had one rat and a half grown rabbit for the ferrets, but better than sat watching crap on telly.

For me it's never about filling bags, I like been out, I like been round my fields, see what's happening, how things are getting on, sometimes I never fire a shot, still get the enjoyment of been out there.
