neil cooney 10,416
I know plenty about threadmills and IMO they don't suit terriers. Ask herself would she walk them and that way you'll end up with fit, happy terriers and a fit misses. A win win situation. 2 Quote Link to post

downsouth 7,212
You shouldn't mill a dog without walking it out first. Not unless you want to f**k it up. 5 Quote Link to post
YOKEL 2,227
I was going to say the same ds. Dog needs a good hand walk and emptying out before any mill work. Dog also needs constant supervision whilst working the mill... Yokel 1 Quote Link to post
BGD 6,436
Aye spot on a mill isn't a replacement for walking and certainly isn't the tool to be used to keep dogs ticking over, you'd be better off just getting her to chuck a ball about in the yard for a few minutes every day and maybe making a flirtpole for her to use IMO. 1 Quote Link to post
Dig-deep-draw-charlie 2,713
There’s a lake out the front of my house, I just take the terriers over with the neighbours burst foot ball and just toss it in a few times for them! Although fishermen don’t like it lol Keeps them in shape as well as a few road walks 1 Quote Link to post

Wind is something a terrier needs but at the end of the day any half fit terrier should be able for a 3 or 4 hour dig. The secret is does the terrier want to stay and a mill wont make a terrier stay if he doesn't want too. Plenty of mill work will also produce a highly strung terrier and highly strung terriers are pains in the arses IMO. 3 Quote Link to post
