Guest k9wpg
Hi mate you have probably bought a book by now but if you haven't then the best book, for a beginner to training spaniels, imo is gundogs and their learning chain by Joe irving good luck Ditto :clapper: Quote Link to post
Guest dotty
make sure the training is great fun. however, with spaniels you do have to be quite firm sometimes. i have found that it is best to keep your voice quiet so that they strain to here you, but firm. if you start shouting you will always be shouting, they learn to just hear it as a loud noise rather than a command. all the best with her, when you get springers right they are great dogs to work with.
