New pup on its way

Recommended Posts

Nice looking bitch mate, my opinion you karnt beet a whippet bred lurcher on coneys, ferreting, lamping. My whippety dog is 3q whippet with a touch of saluki, bedlington. To look at him he looks like a big whippet but with a nice long back and better coat. Retired now but he took fox, muntjac, hare and best ferreting dog iv ever had, hopefully I will get a pup from him this year, looking to put him to a good bedlington bitch in spring. He was put over a couple of good whippets last year and pups are doing well, good luck mate I'm sure yous will do fine, I know you have snakes but what about the monitor lizards, do your dogs ever hunt them.

Yep no doubt, the whippets take some beating, if you get the good stuff, I hear people slag them off, makes me laugh.

My last pure bred ran until he was 10, took him out till he was 13 had to put him down in the end.

I have a ¾  whippet x deerhound/greyhound  already, she is no world beater, but very sound, and a handy dog, she is 2 yr old now, lost count of the rabbits she’s taken, magic in the light.

This new pup is from the same family, the whippet line especially has been generationally bred for the right reasons and the mum as said was special, I have had running and hunting dogs since I was a kid, and always had at least 1 pure or ¾ whippet. Great dogs it’s a shame they are spoiling the breed by bad selection process anyway thanks and A.T.B

Below is my ¾ whippet

She's nice mate, I personally believe a whippet will and can do anything a small lurcher can and better, yes you get a better coat once crossed but whippets don't need to be any gamer iv seen whippets take muntjac, Fox, hare and of course anything coney. Iv had some great times hunting with all kinds of dogs in the forty years iv been around working dogs and  seen some good dogs but the best times have been with a whippet or two and a box of pugs.

The grandmother looks very smart. Has a similar look to Wales1234 blue bitch.

Had a look can't find a post with a picture  of her. Any chance you have a picture or a link to one?  Cheers
