Welsh_red 4,644
If I was starting from scratch outside and had free reign to decide what I wanted id lean towards block walls with a mesh on one side tall enough to walk around in . Quote Link to post
jetro 5,349
That would be great. But unfortunately I will have to go with the traditional type for the time been. Going to make one 8ft long 4ft deep and 2ft high. Two tier one. Atb j Quote Link to post
Furrosious ferreter 499
This is what i got... works well. The only thing i paid for was the hutch £30. FF Only just seen post above was typing while it posted. Edited January 14, 2018 by Furrosious ferreter 7 Quote Link to post
jetro 5,349
That looks great. Plenty of room to keep them active. My main concern is the weather where I'm living. It's very exposed on the coast. I used smaller hutches but rather a bigger one for their own wellbeing. Atb j Quote Link to post
terryd 8,411
made out of pallets. I am no carpenter for sure lol. But two doors easy access end to end no bloody nooks or crannies I cant get too and easy to clean weighs a bloody ton and took 3 days but good enough 6 Quote Link to post
jetro 5,349
Looks great terryd. How many ferrets do you keep in it. Atb j Quote Link to post
tsteve9999 456
I built mine whats basically a 9x6 aviary, open to the elements and with what was a lovely turfed base. 12 months later there's not a blade of grass left, it's like a swiss cheese and I'm thinking of slabbing it just to stop it looking so shite. The only thing stopping me is that the stinkers love it, and they are noticably fitter than they were. 1 Quote Link to post
