Greyman 28,948
I no it's barely January but in the last week out walking I have seen, two pair of great tits doing the pairing business and looking in every little hole for nest sites, one pair of blackbirds, saw a few daf,s and crocus the Hazel trees are covered in catkins and the sitting water in the ditch,s and puddles that have been high all winter are dropping an inch or more per day indicating the trees and plants are taking a bit on board, which all points to a very early spring or some very confused wildlife also about 20 mins of extra day light per day which is nice anyone else noticing any signs of Spring yet ?? forest of dean redneck 11,722
I think the seasons are messed up with hardly any definition, winters are mild and wet ,fooling the plants and birds ,spring is an extension with late frosts to catch out the unwary veg gardener killing their chillies an runner bean plants. 2

Mr Wilkes 3,060
The jackdaws are carrying nesting material up to our chimney. The birds have started to sing in a morning...love spring time.
