PeskyWabbits 464
Hello I wasn't sure which part of the forum to add this to. My question is, are airgun pellets detrimental to grazing animals? I have some land which I rent out and my tenant has sheep on it. She accepts but is uncomfortable that I shoot across it. Most of my zeroing is done in my own section. Then shooting can be anywhere across the 3 fields/5 acres but not when the sheep are there. It isn't teaming with wildlife as it is open pasture. What is the likelihood of poisoning or will they drop straight through it eaten? Thank you Pesky
Matthew Roots 9
Don’t know but one of the clay grounds I go to has sheep in the field behind it all the time. Either it doesn’t hurt them or they must not be lead free sheep. Sorry I know that doesn’t really help

Thank you Pesky All grazing animals including Rabbits are safe from Puff Pellets until the warm dry weather get here ,about April /May time Milky Does and six week old Rabbits should then don their tin hats as protection from the Puff Gunners doing their Pest Control duties 1

ChrisJones 7,975
Lead's toxic but more so to fish and birds due to the way they're exposed to it. How much lead are we talking about? Edited January 29, 2018 by ChrisJones

How much lead are we talking about? Sorry for the late reply. I have been shooting on the land since I was 16 but the volume is near the field gate close to the house. So I wouldn't expect animals to congregate there anyway. So will probably be fine. Thank you for all the replies
