No vote on Hunting Ban repeal says PM

Recommended Posts

So our lovely Prime Minister has just announced that there will be no vote on repealing the ban during this parliament. It's something a lot of folks in this community looked towards with anticipation but now it's light has been snuffed out.

Shooting will be next,I know of large shooting estates were 500 birds are killed on one drive, drives go on for 45 mins,it costs over £2000 for the day! If shooting doesn’t self regulate then the government will do it for them.

Thank feck for that. It would only have gone against lifting the ban, and opened the door for Labour to try and strengthen it.

Good point well made. I suppose she's inadvertently done us all a favour.

I’ve said all along the minute the ban was put in place in 2004 it’d never be lifted it’s just there wild card they pull if there short on votes for anything they pull the old were lift the ban if you vote for us people are gullible and predictable they fall for the same old shit every time it’s never going to be lifted....get over it there’s no need for excitement when a sniff of the ban being lifted is mentioned it’s never going to happen....same as them in forcing it if no proof of any illegal activity is present ie pictures all over Facebook or court red handed it didn’t happen.....

Morning, taken a step back from quad bikes and hounds - Don’t need the grief anymore. Having moved house my country has changed, curious of those that do hunt the hills with their lurches and a terrier at your heel, how do you bring them on? Getting the right dog for the job is no brainier but what about the training? Thanks.

      **sorry for the double post**
I know I'm probably going to get the piss severely ripped out of me for asking this, but
Has anyone ever successfully trained a deaf lurcher (from two working parents and I own her 4 year old sister who is an awesome little bunny basher.)
Genetically she has potential, but...what do you experts think?
She's not a Double merle by the way, it's extreme piebald/white head. Her vision is perfect
