Would love to give um a go, but know the 97 wont enjoy that weight. I do need a proper calibre PCP :)

Tin of pease test

...... My missus would kill me if I started shooting the grub

I reckon they'll be loopy as feck at ranges Jimmy but, I hope they work for you because they'll give some wallop

Can't wait to see the results from longer range tests mate.

To heavy aren't they   for sub 12 ?

You might think so Mitch. But these heavyweight pellets are amazingly good and accurate in my Pro Sport .22 at 11.7 F/P. A hit anywhere on a furry/feathered head with these Heavies and and it's all over and out. And I've found I need only a bit more holdover, about an inch or so, at some pretty impressive long ranges  beyond zero too.

I have to admit. I was quite surprised when I chucked the daystate sovereigns in my RWS yesterday and today. Was shooting out to about 30yards and once I got my head in the game and the wind died off a little, my groups were tightening up nicely. Got the rifle out today to get some practice in, and fit the new bipod, and I was pellet on pellet at a hair over 20 yards With no wind. I’m shooting a sub 12 and them sovereigns are 15.9gr. At the same range I was getting similar groupings with bisley magnums which are 21.4gr and my gun normally doesn’t like too much. They did hit a little  low and would be pants at any range for me, but they were punching clean holes in a 9mm sheet of ply close in.

Interesting post though bigmac, I might have to look into a tin of these meself.

cheers
