jacknife 2,005
Just started reloading using a Hornady lock n load press and lee dies Started today doing the .223 but out of 25 rounds 6 have stuck in the full length sizing die the cases are uncleaned once fired....gave them a squirt of lube Quote Link to post
IanB 0
Are you also lubing inside the necks? When setting up the die, how many turns once you hit the shell holder? Quote Link to post
jacknife 2,005
I didn't lube inside the neck I gave it a quarter turn once it to he'd the holder Quote Link to post
andyf 144
Ok get some spray lube and fire it right up inside the sizing die, also all of the cases. The first one is always a bit 'tight' but this coats the die etc and the rest should be ok Quote Link to post
jacknife 2,005
Think that was the problem... Inside the die being dry Done quite a few more without problem now Quote Link to post
dicehorn 38
Sometimes over lubing your cases can have the exact opposite result and cause cases to get stuck. If you must use one of these dreadful lubes use it sparingly. Once you have got the hang of reloading and gained more experience you will bin the lubes and get a small tin of Imperial Sizing Wax and then kick yourself for taking so long to getting around to buying a tin. 2 Quote Link to post
