Thanks for your kind words everyone! I'm going to do my best to raise up another good one this spring.

My pointer lurcher Onsa is doing great. I don't remember what I've told you guys about her, but I started her on raccoons a few months ago, and so far she's done well. On her biggest night she killed 2 adult raccoons and a VERY small young one 100% solo, and helped a terrier kill another coon he couldn't quite kill on his own. It makes me happy that she is tough enough to kill multiple coons in a night, without any help from me or any other dogs. Raccoons can be pretty hard on a dog, and there are a lot of dogs who look tough on a fox or cat who then show their true colors when put on a coon. However having said that, she still has room to improve in that area, so we'll see if she gets better or softer with experience. I haven't had any luck getting her on a fox yet, but I'm hopping I can at least get her a few decent chances before spring comes. Finding a fox where a dog has any shot at catching it isn't too easy where I live. But then again, I haven't put as much effort into getting one as I would like.
