Blackdog92 2,047
Rydale caves is a nice easy walk, or you could go up doves cragg if you fancy something a little more strenuous. The cathedral caves at little Langdale is nice, just keep to the left if you try to get your truck through the river.
WILF 47,389
Beatrix Potter’s House is decent if you have kids with you.....or even if you don’t. There used to be a blinding little Italian resteruant in the town which is well worth a visit and they make kids feel as welcome as adults. Obviously the Queens Head at Troutbeck takes some beating just for atmosphere and scenery. Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong anywhere in the lakes......it’s all just awesome. Enjoy mate.

Queens Head has not long reopened again after a major fire there. Don’t know what it’s like nowadays. Nice walks from Patterdale along the shores of Ullswater. The hunting lads swerve the White Lion now in the village. Big fall out with the new owners. Something to do with the lifting of shirts ??
