true mate , you get crap in all type of dogs  any x,  but for me  if you get a  1x pit x grey  gen bred from line of good fox killers  your deff in with a chance , not the big heavy types but strong racey types ,  these types will deff catch them, and dont mind the sharp end . one of the best ive seen kill things with teeth , was a 1x staff x grey  Tug, he was 26 in  70 odd lb   , not bad pace in the lamp, and great around holes, it was seeing him work in the 80s  , made me  like  lurchers with bull in them,  get the right type bullx  above there the best deff

I think Ray means generation half xes  half ta half generation fourth Fith etc. But has we know the best from these are probably more than fifty fifty  genetically .oh the joys of fractions a good in his a good un and the bull blood of the right type his a must fa me in the mix of a pesters dog .atb bunnys.

   yeh   that's what  i meant   6-8 gen   1xs  , just old fashioned   lurcher   x lurcher  from tested /proven  dogs

Over here Australian staghound,mostly old deerhound/greyhound for fox and all fast stuff,maybe or probably other blood added.
