Just admiring some of the dogs in this topic. Great looking animals. Never had a Deerhound greyhound but love the look of them. Has the dog made the grade you were looking for and does that line of deerhound greyhound take to bigger quarry with ease in your experience? Cheers

I guess it depends on what your definition of “the grade” is.

Ive said many times that this type do what I ask of them and keep me happy.

Ive also said there are better types for individual jobs such as out and out deer dogs, hare dogs, fox dogs, etc, but these type suit what I do now.

Im certainly not breed blind; I like Salukis, whippets, deerhounds and their crosses, even had a collie cross in the past.

As for “bigger quarry “, I guess it’s as much how you enter them as it is their lines.
