Though the summer solstice has not played a major role in the history of Christianity or Judaism, unaware to most, several summer solstice traditions have been passed down through the millennia. The most notable in Christianity, which occurs during the summer and winter solstices, are the births of John the Baptist and Jesus of Nazareth. According to tradition, John the Baptist’s birthday occurs on June 24th, which is the point when the sun visibly begins descent from its pinnacle during the summer solstice.

The Ancients referred to them as Gods with there overwhelming technology/knowledge, in my opinion its more to think of them as ancient aliens. Our own Milky Way Galaxy is home to at least 100 Billion planets with 8.8 Billion of them Earth sized and not too hot or too cold and circle stars just like our sun. There is also over 100 Billion Galaxy's in the observable Universe,to think that Earth is the only one to contain/harbour life is laughable. At some point there will be Discloure but the Powers that be will then have to unravel the biggest lie ever told " we are all alone" .

Trouble is, nobody has read it or takes any notice ! Lol 

Its like having one of the old A to Z maps and saying, I have an idea what it’s about but f**k it.....I’ll just go in this direction and see what happens and then asking “how comes I got lost.......why didn’t the map drive?” Lol

We got given everything we need at the get go in the shape of this planet, we even got an instruction manual on how to behave in the bible........what we choose to do with that resource and that information is down to us.

Your life and your legacy, be that within a family group or planet wide, is your heaven or hell......its here now and you live it, create it and you leave it for others.

And if you beleive in spirits and that the spirit can move over.....then you get to watch the garden you nurtured or the disaster you created unfold for all eternity.

So.....you better go to your Death happy you made the best choices you could.

 

So what your saying is our time here is our own ,nothing to do with God, we are our own masters. If that's the case ,are those that turn to whatever  too week to steer their own path or just need guidance to live by which is equally bemusing .

We are intelligent enough to do without guidance from anything we cannot see nor feel nor do we have to please anybody bar those we love . The argument will go on no doubt and I'm entitled to an opinion like anyone else .Despite what religion tells us, Xmas is now no more than a tradition of giving and receiving

In the Islam, we have encounters with divine beings like the narration that angel Gabriel was a mediator between Alah and Mohammed. Gabriel usually came to Mohammed in a cave to give him wisdom. But there were two times when Mohammed encounter Gabriel outside of the cave and not in person, but in a magnificent shining object with 600 wings and burning as fire.  Its this hovering shiny object in front of Mohammed a UFO? Did he misinterpreted the lights of the object as fire and the flying he described as 600 wings?  How did this object gave the wisdom to Mohammed? The believers on here bang on about why the non believers need to know what God has done lately and that reason may be because pre biblical times he seems to have been right  busy parting waters ,birthing kids to virgins ,cramming animals onto  boats etc whereas these days ,when his input would be appreciated he cant be arsed .Perhaps your God died years ago but the followers can't except it .

Far from it .EVOLUTION is moving faster in the human race than it ever has ,just look in any church on a Sunday compared to 20 years ago .Your God however,if there is one , has gone stale ,can't be assed  with us ,content to watch suffering and all the maladies weve accumulated .Your answer will be we've created all we now have wrong with us well that to me seems to be a sick joke on his apparent flock ,one every man should question as why let it happen in the first place. What always makes me smile is the way you describe people with a beleife as “weak”.......does that imply you feel yourself to be stronger in some way than them?

You seem to be able to hold your own in a discussion but you always seem very hostile....'my way or the highway' kind of attitude.  I think religion is a load of bollocks too but i respect other peoples right to believe what they like.  As has been said....have an opinion but no need to talk down to people.  And why describe people as inferior?  Does that make you superior to other people on here?

Passion mate ,something lacking in many ,many people .Afraid to speak out about their beliefs for fear of ridicule .Not me ill tell anyone anywhere ..ive a forceful personality mate  ,like or hate it you will always know my feelings and ill leave you in no doubt where I sit on any discussion .life to me is very simple and that' how I like it .liars abound ,week people are easily led and therefore fair game to be ridiculed .
