Born Hunter 17,812
I can't really envisage a 'situation' that needs a contingency plan as such. I mean if the gas goes off, ill put a coat on, if the leccy goes ill light a candle. Anything more serious id adapt and survive. Good clothes and tools and you can face just about anything imo. 1

air gun ant 1,666
Got a generator I can plug straight in to the house if the electrics gonna be off for any length of time and decent supply of wood and coal. The later of which I had to dig in to recently when we somehow used 750ltrs of kerosene in 1 month! 4 days till we could get a delivery -8 outside and £411 out of pocket a week before Christmas! Yeah wasn't thinking an apocalyptic scenario more of a what if... It seems we're split into two camps. Those that can and those that have an app for it.
WILF 47,624
Ok, brace yourselves, another one of my ludicrous conspiracy theories........ The powers that be don’t want anyone to be self sufficient.......that want you on the wheel of mortgage, paying the utility company, paying the credit card that you use to buy government food at Tesco...... See, as it stands......if a prospective politician walks up my drive now, I dont need that prick for a god damn thing......not one thing. I don’t need him to alter anything to make my life better really because I don’t owe anybody and I don’t teally have to shop at their shops or do anything else if push comes to shove. Well, none of them want you in that position do they because it makes them irellevant......totally f***ing irellevant ! (homegrown) food for thought I reckon 7
