The lost bean crop is getting hammered - Pigeons.

The farmer lost a full crop of beans this summer and is still to work the field over.

                  The hard frosts has the pigeons very hungry and this field has thousands of sprouting beans on the surface .

                 I`ve cut into the hedgerow ( with permission) and built a good start on another natural hide today.

                I`ll be there tomorrow( I`m taking the day off ) - with the T Rex and dead bird decoys, I`m expecting a job is to be done tomorrow.

                         I much prefer hunting with the air rifles compared to my shotguns Jon, I love the field craft involved with air rifles

I have been out today for a drive around the big perm and found a large number of pigeon really hitting the rape. Looking at the leaves, I am pretty sure the rabbits are also taking a fair bit as well.

Different skills for shooting a fast flying woodie compared to the rifle but both give me great pleasure.

Well we are over run here with woodies........absolutely hundreds of em.....i just don't know which one to shoot first.....they are all in range I'm so spoilt for choice...........

Nice to hear your taking use of a bad situation for the farmer to get some good sport in what otherwise is a quiet spell  , hope you get a good few

and as for pro something or other

and AA finest iv got a t,rex hear and its no where near as good as the crow sport

in my hands .

some thing i showed SI when i shot his PS when i went to his .

Just get wrapped up nice and warm tomorrow mark

and make sure that wig is on strait for the photos
