Royston2 0
Always good to alow a terrier or lurch to have plenty of family attention don`t do any harm to the dog...If it works it will work if it wont then thats tough luck...Dogs love the attention thrive on it no need to leave um in there kennel till dig day i dont believe in that......... rob reynolds uk 3
iv seen dogs ruined by kids ,they go soft thats a fact .nothing wrong in the odd stroke ect and bit of fuss but let a dog be a dog and not a doll..you start to namby pambe dogs they get used to the easy life and like the sette over going to work in the ground ,seems to much like hard work for them once they have tasted the easy life ..if you say other wise you aint had meny dogs in your life ..we all learn the hard way .. Kye 77
A good working dog will like WORK over ANYTHING,...if i had a dog, that liked sitting on the sofa MORE than work, how the hell can you call that a worker? I have seen dogs babyd, dressed in cloths, fed from the table, allowed to drink out the bog, everything...and they have been demons at there task...whether they be terriers, sighthounds, hounds or Bull's... As long as a dog is kept clean, healthy, and fed right, with good well thought out entering/breeding, there is little you can do to make it 'make' the grade,..it will or it wont...to say that you will ruin it through over exsposure to humans, in whatever form, imo is not correct...if anything, it will only benefit... Kye,..just MY opinion. Quote Link to post
