A quick reccy

Recommended Posts

Well I've not heard anything from the huge perm I mentioned the other week. To be honest, im not holding my breath as they are as someone said, a disorganised bunch of so and son's.

Based on that tip off I went out last week and called at a country hall with a full size 18 hole golf course that's about half an hours drive from me.

I called into the shop and as luck had it the green keeper was having a brew in there so after a quick introduction and letting them see my BASC card he took me round in the gaitor showing me round the course and the hot spots. What a top bloke. He said i can come on anytime using common sense of course. Mid afternoon on a golf course isn't going to go down very well?

There is a nice mixture of small copse woods, hills, banks and rough ground.

I left the gun at home and had a very quick wander just to get a feel for things tonight.

I spotted a few bunnies, one or two woodies and lots of crows and Maggie's so this could be a cracking addition?20171203_155817.thumb.jpg.2c9f6e1e68ed98f3075b5c4b484142af.jpg

Typical woodland on there.

Lots of signs of Coney activity all over the place?

We went to pick up a few pheasants from dogger  on friday night  and on the way home the son was lighting up some fields  in the field next to a old school that's now a business  there was easy 30 rabbits  thinking a quick snaring trip might be in order or keep it legal and call in at the school  its nice  to see the signs the rabbits are making a come back
