Unless it's something you really want to do, I'd diversify a bit. You can take a Class 2 which would let you drive an 18 tonne rigid, then a Class 1 which would let you driver an artic, but then there's low-loaders, hazardous goods, etc, etc. You can never have too many strings to your bow.
