Any of the commercially available rodenticide poisons difenacoum bromadiolone will do, you can get it for the moment in multiple 1.5 kg tubs blocks or seed get it from a local farmer outlet, so long as you use it correctly you should have success allow for a couple of weeks of feeding for best results don,t expect immediate results (if its being eaten keep feeding) don't stop unless the bait is no longer being eaten and then leave it down for a few days after just to make sure.

Use paste bags, or wax blocks, and put it on the bar that comes with a proper bait box, those big plastic ones. If it's  pushed on to the bar they'll have to eat it there, not only will you be able to see how much is being eaten but it'll stop rats from taking it away and hiding it for later. put out more than one box, have them inside and out. Don't put food on bird tables or scraps out for birds, if you can get your neighbours to do the same all the better. This will reduce their food source and that'll make the uptake of the poison more successful. Rats are cautious of any thing new, neophobia, so they may not touch the bait boxes straight away so be patient. Don't let the bait run out.
