Yup,just the usual this year

You're not wrong there. Bit of leftover ham and a couple of fried eggs over the top, breakfast of kings  Look forward to that more than the Christmas dinner itself

We ain't having turkey this year either. I've ordered a 9kg wren with the butcher I bet that will take some stuffing.

I'll do a turkey crown, beet, gammon and a venison leg if I can get one.

Had my family, mrs's family....even my step sons dad and grandad last year.....

I won't ever do a sit down dinner again. Last year I just covered the table in meat, salad, pies etc then through out the day I just keep topping it up with veg, pigs in blankets, potato wedges, roasties, chips etc. It made the Christmas Dinner experience last all day. Went to aldi and bought loads of puddings which I started bringing out the second half of the day. It was a real Christmas feast that lasted 3 days with open house.

Aldi is the place to go for Christmas food shopping. All British meat, continental beers and wines etc.

For the first time last year I cooked the turkey, gammon, cider braised red cabbage and made the gravy on Christmas Eve. All I had to do was the veg on Christmas Day, piece of piss! Did the Turkey crown in one of those oven bags on a bed of leeks, wrapped the crown up in foil and a bath towel and it took all day to cool down. Was the juiciest turkey I’ve had yet. All the liquid and leeks left in the bag made a cracking gravy!

Do all the meat the day before as well as preping all veg.....par boil spuds etc. I will never have the mad stress of cooking a big dinner crimbo morning again, it's just pointless

Couldn’t believe I had never tried that method prior to last year. Was only in the kitchen at 15 minute intervals to turn the roast veg!
