Good find Si.

On another note. Think I'm getting a bit bored of hunting POV footage, actually hunting footage in general. Whether that be airgun, big game, foxing with rips and so on. It's quite literally the same and once you've seen one rabbit/boar/dog get it in the melon you've seen um all. If it's not scope cam footage, it's 3rd person where like mr ratz, recreates the shots he's just took but for some reason makes it look like he's about to take the shot and I literally just scoot by VHTV now.

In particular scope cam footage, in some ways it makes me think how the shooter has to prove what a great shot they are for some reason... after all, just watching a target get shot, after shot, after shot... doesn't really allow shooters to learn anything. I think. All it captures is stuff getting killed and everyone on this airgun forum could drop a PCP on a pod/support and kill stuff within reason.

Im yet to find someone creating a new format... whatever that maybe, but the hunting footage scene needs something, a new idea, a new way of capturing the content... that perhaps shows us something that we might not of thought of, maybe drones or something (no idea how that would work, but that's the point), being as that's a buzz word at the moment, no pun intended.

I start the post saying good find, but I already know what I will see... which is perhaps my point. And the fact that I suspect it will be decent footage otherwise your good self wouldn't of posted it.

Just been thinking about it all, as I know some shooters do learn this and that from such content and that's great.

Its just me. It's somewhat strange how none of the 'modern' YouTube content has taught me more than JD did when he released his VHS in the late 80's... early 90's with his second video. Maybe it was the fact that I was so young and like a sponge, and now I'm just getting old :)

He had a different perspective, it wasnt 'just' about killing game, it was about the reading countryside and being 'out there' I guess.

Wheres my pellets?! :D too late now init.

I have to agree Rez they do tend to be all the same. I have seen a couple from Canada where there was greater detail in the preparation than the shot itself. I watched this one Si and to be honest, keeping the rat in the sights whilst it goes through death throws is just good canon fodder for the anti groups.

you've got a good point there Rez... id welcome any change in format!

I just watch far too much youtube, the kids are always on the bloody ps4 so I cant get near the telly hence why I watch so much!!

Dave cracks me up, hes got the same approach as me just hes a lot better at it!! lol

this ratting vid although graphic shows how good some lads are, its not easy using nv round a farm on the rats shots can be 10ft to 30/40yrds!!

regardless of pods and sticks...

personally you couldn't pay me to lay on the deck at any farm I go too, there all sh1t holes hence massive problems!

bout time rez00 did some more stuff :)

Nicely put rez , i feel the same as you  ,once you seen one you have seen them  all  , as the saying goes

This one seems to be a better clear vid and not grainy like some ,most have a good set up

Not as easy as it looks when filming.  And yes so much of all the footage will look the same, but then so are all those still images taken after the fact.  The problem as far as I can see is not those who post but our access to the amount that is available.   It could be that we all want something different but expect others to do the delivering.  Just one of the problems of today's world that is bursting full of images in my opinion.

All the very best for one and all

some side focus Hawke with a sniper cam fitted to it

Most of his shots are with an older style SCB reticle so, likely either MTC Viper or Mamba.

The second shot on the clip is an AMX reticle - possibly from a Hawke Airmax.

Good clip Si

I actually don't mind that he shows a little of what happens after the shot - it could help show those that are new to hunting or thinking of getting into it, what really happens.

My mate is still surprised when I pick up a dead rabbit and it's bouncing on its back legs.
