Jonjon79 13,358 Posted November 17, 2017 Report Share Posted November 17, 2017 Ok, to try to be a bit more helpful - this TX was already fairly dark but, a few coats of Phillips English Walnut Preparation oil darkened it slightly. It's the stuff that you rub in with your hands and allow the friction to warm it up. It makes your rifle smell nice for ever I've used that and Danish oil - both are good. I've never used Tung oil but, I do like the results in Jimmys pictures 1 Quote Link to post
