Tremo 138
Alright chaps? I have yet to come across what I feel is a definitive answer to these questions, so for us humble reloaders, what do you regard as being "The Law" on the holding and storage of the materials/components? I appreciate that the use of common sense will play a big part in how the individual in questions addresses the subject of safety security, so I'm not interested in this aspect, only what we are required by law. 'Shooters Powder' - 5kg? Primers - Ammunition safe storage? Restriction on number? Bullets (expanding and non-expanding) - Ammunition safe storage? Restriction on number? Restriction on calibre? Completed rounds - As per restriction(s) on FAC. Apologies if areas of this thread have already been covered. Cheers. Tremo Quote Link to post
foxtrotoscar 35
Only my completed rounds are in my safe, the primers, powder, bullets and half made up rounds are gathering dust on the bench! Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
Thanks for the information guys. I always know where to come when I require some "wise words". Quote Link to post
KES2 171
Until recently when expanding ammo was deregulated from section 5, bullets were counted as rounds - now you can have as many bullets as you like as long as they arent made up. No restriction on weight of powder unless its black powder, which is subject to explosives licensing over 5 kg. So, as many primers as you like as many bullets and powder as you like, (excepting black powder). Do NOT, as you have said, exceed your permitted rounds total in any calibre. I dont see why its so bad personally but you WILL lose your guns if found to exceed the permitted number in any calibre. Rounds - made -up Bullets - heads 1 Quote Link to post
