zek 0
Now back to the question, can an adult goat be eaten without contracting some desperate plague? I've ate an older one once - not as nice as the younger animals (stands to reason), but still very enjoyable. Quite strong, maybe too strong for some taste buds. I understand in some countries accross the world goat is pretty much the staple diet. Maybe our taste buds need sharpening. Zek. PS: Love those photos and thanks for sharing the story. david2363 42
When I was a kid, my Dad had a mate who owned a small holding, he kept a big white aggressive Billy Goat. I can still remember the tangy, musky, pungent smell he gave off, (and the Goat wasn't much better) To this day, even the smell of Goats cheese makes me want to heave.
Guest Ditch_Shitter
F*ck, I enjoyed that, Jigs! Give my left ball for some of that! I have quite a 'Thing' about goats myself ..... Living in an inner uk city terraced house I, obviously, decided one drunken afternoon to get me a goat. By that evening I had a pair of 'Alpine' type females. They were some of the greatest and most amusing pets I ever had. Came here and what did I do? Bought me a male kid. Then a female adult. She became a Nightmare as she wanted milking (I don't use milk!) at the appointed - HER - hour every night. Nothing in creation could contain her. He grew up to be just the same - only he seasonally stunk to high heaven and they both nearly gave me a heart attack with stress as they escaped at will and ravaged the neighbours lands! Baaaaastards! She had two kids, one of each. I was delighted to give that trio away. Him? He wrecked my electric fence (they don't feel high voltage!) and tried to take my donkey into town. I got a call. Went out and managed to get them both back to my own ground. The Donkey got fed that night! Now my life's sweeter again. My donkey does no wrong. My neighbours hedges are just starting to show the first signs of recovery. And that was just TWO of the bloody things! A herd like that? How in hell does a man put up with that?! Saw a great advert in the free ad's one time; " Feral Goats. c. 100. Come and help yeself. " Don't know who the guy in red is. He looks pissed to be out in that. Me? If I was equipped for it, I think I'd pay good money to get at them. The physical discomfort would just add to the satisfaction as I squeezed the trigger again (and again, and again!) and just kept on repaying those damn things for the grief they brought me and my friends here. Yeppers. I have Quite a Thing about goats now.
