Accip74 7,112
I was listening to a guy on radio 4 the other day talking about this. As usual I can't remember who he was? Haha......but he had the opinion that these files were highly unlikely to reveal anything comspiratial or incriminating, but may reveal how much the CIA knew about Oswald & his intentions & movements which may indicate he could have been stopped or conveniently allowed to carry on? Born Hunter 17,832
Oswald graded higher than Marksman in the Marines. He shot at the Sharpshooter level but on leaving the Marines was only Marksman level. It was also reported that he didn't take shooting very seriously and didn't try very hard. I'd be surprised if Jesse Ventura, or just about any other SEAL, couldn't make the shots frankly, whether he admits to it or not. For me, like previously mentioned, the biggest 'eyebrow raiser' is the Jack Ruby stuff.
scothunter 12,609
Incompetance played a part. Yes oswald even wrote a letter which he personally delivered to the fbi office in dallas threatening to blow it up. it was later destroyed by the fbi. still happening today by the security services. How many of these terrorist attacks we live under today are later found out to be "Known to the security services". They might have some of the smartest people in the world, but there some f***ing complacent idiots who clearly lack common sense.

There's a really big difference between intelligence and evidence. They can't man mark everyone known to them and they can't legally act on everyone known to them. Though I agree that I think whatever the truth is it will paint the security/intelligence services in a bad light.

bird 10,005
I actually watched for the first time the full uncut uncensored video of his assassination the other day ....jeez he certainly wasnt getting up from that .Is it an urban myth that jackie was clambering over the back to retrieve a piece of skull? Look for yourself but I warn you its not pleasant viewing well it looked like she deff went to retrieve something from the back of the car, and if you look at her face from the that frame in the pic, she was looking at the back of his skull , yep she deff went to get the back of his head back. he had one shot from the back or side , and 100% one from the front that blew the back of his brains out . what ever the theory to the killing , it was 2 people , and the 2nd shot was to make sure he died, because , when you look from the 1st hit he moved forward holding his face from his injury , the 2nd shot was to make sure he died . i reckon he was taken out because of his left wing attitude , and at the time with civil right movements etc , same as King, Malcolm X , it was the people behind these killing , they didnt want soft white man running the country
mackem 27,880
The biggest advocate of the JFK conspiracy theory is Jesse Ventura. To say he was Governor of Minnesota he's big-time anti-establishment. He is convinced it was an inside job, he was basically a Navy Seal (UDT) and a Vietnam veteran. He was an expert marksman so his skills are obviously going to top notch. His reasoning was that if he couldn't make the shots Oswald couldn't as he was no Jeremy Kyle and basically qualified with the lowest grade has a marksman. Only problem is I've seen footage of the CBS test filmed in 1967 and some of those marksman were very capable of pulling of those shots, some were even quicker. Now both Ventura's and the CBS tests could have been manipulated to suit their agenda so I don't think we will ever know the true facts of what happened. I hear Jeremy Kyle is quite the marksman Jezza kyle is just the patsy But he did have a large collection of weaponry when caught

walshie 2,804
I wonder what the 300 documents they didn't release due to "national security" contain? They must be the only ones really worth reading.
