Accip74 7,112
Listening to the radio this morning there was a bit about the power of music to make a connection to people suffering from dementia, comas etc...... I didn't catch all of it, but basically a girl musician had been making a study after an event with her grandmother. Her grandmother had been cocooned by dementia & nothing was getting through to her, until they started to play some old tunes & singing one day & she began to come out of her stupor & started to join in with the singing..... There is now a company in the UK that will help you compile a play list that means something to you, in the event of such circumstances........So what would be your memory play list? I'm thinking 10 pieces of music or less.......Songs, soundtracks.....even music from adverts etc, what would be your list that may trigger something & why?
