rambling farmers

the farmer on my shoot insists on walking there dogs round the shoot ,not keeping to a set route and not keeping them under control ! tried talking to them but getting nowhere, just get ... its my land etc! any advice from lads with footpaths etc through there shoot . cheers

If he's that much of a pain in the ar*e, get some new permission. After all it's his land, so he can walk where he likes.

It is his land after all I think you'll have to move your shoot or put up with it, I wouldn't have anybody telling me what to do on my own land would you?

I don't think I'd be too happy if it was my land and you tried to tell me where my dogs can or can't go . Depending on the guy, he might be asking you to move

shoot one of his dogs and say it was an accident i bet he'll ethier kick you off which i what you'd proberly do to your self anyway or will go were you tell him (dont kill the dog)

When you say your shoot, do you meen that you pay the farmer to use his land & you have paying guest ? or is just for your use which you have permission ?

 

if you are paying him you need to get it sorted & if he insist on carrying on with his dogs tell him to get F with his land & let other people know so they don't have the same problem.

 

 

If it is land which you have permission & shoot only yourself then unfortunately if he will not compromise then all you can do is try to get some new permission elsewhere

what i find intersting is that this farmer actualy takes his dog a walk, all the one i know never bother, the dogs are just left to wander round the farm unless there working.
