Just had a text from a householder asking me how much for a lesson on how to set Duffus traps.

I said I can teach him that for £50, no problem, but if he wants to learn to catch moles, we are talking ££££'s !

Ive had a call like that, told him to fooook right off. And i never show householders how i set them either. When they watch i turn my back. They can find it on the internet easy enough but im not showing them how to take money from my arse pocket.

Well, here endeth the lesson.

The guy had a job lot of tunnel traps but was having no joy. Poor choices made when it came to siting.

I think he's one of these people that relishes a challenge but was getting severely frustrated by not catching anything.

I gave him some pointers and then just said point blank what my charges would be if I were to catch the moles for him, and end all the heartache.

Now the pupil has become the customer. Hopefully he will sell me his traps too!

I didn't ask if he had a cellar or a snooker table.

Its a shame trapping moles insint so profitable you can have a apprentice and train them up most folk just buy a few traps look on the internet or buy a dvd and crack on these days
