Phil Lloyd 10,738
Fill in the double hole,..and instead, find a nice single entry burrow going into the warren... Bed in your Mk 6 Fenns, legally,...by placing them well under, the overhang of the burrow,..maybe 'up your odds' by either block trapping the entire Warren, or use several traps. Best of luck,..and good trapping... Quote Link to post
micky 3,325
Try to get your trap in as far as you can as a trapped rabbit is very visible , block off holes that you are not trapping, tilt your trap if needed to the angle of the tube ceiling , i do not like Fenns because they are no good and a clean kill is rare and the nearer you get to the mouth of the hole the inbuilt problems with trap are more apparent . polonose00 21
cheers lads, i dont do much rabbit trapping mostly squirrel. i try to get them as deep as possible, i just thought the trap worked by jumping up slightly and catching. ill Fill in as many as possible the holes are mostly under bushes. there is a Fair bit oF Fallen wall around ill use. the double hole i was talking about 1 is slightly bigger than the other i take it Fill the smaller one in? i check them every 12 hours as they are pretty close to home.
