I'm still gong with 'patronising' whoever said it haha...

.........I drop off clothes regularly to the clothes bank down the end of the road. It's just an obvious thing to do, you help the needy when given the chance, but I'd feel a bit of a wanker saying how wonderful these things are because it shows our human side & at least I've been given the honour of helping people! Haha....

Well yeah because you're heaping praise on yourself rather than society as a whole. LOL. Fair enough, I see a difference, you don't.

I still reckon it's mental to attack that view and think that the government could make it all better 'if they wanted to'. I'm speaking of the general public's reaction to what he said, rather than you specifically. The man could've said how terrible foodbanks are and the 'working man' would still attack him, for not valuing charitable spirit! LOL

Not asking for everyone to be on a huge salary born. But if they are prepared to get off there arse and get a job it should be beneficial. No one in work should have to go cap in hand for food.   o

Anyone else think it's a bit of a coincidence that a story like this gets trickled out just at a time when Boris is making a menace of himself to that traitor May ?

I watched reese mogs interview and what he actually said was in these times of austerity its uplifting and heartwarming that the people have set up food banks to help people ... not that he was glad t

I do see the difference & see your point. Like I said I agree with much your original post. We don't need to be told we are charitable people, the observation just sidesteps the issue.

Its 2017 and imo any goverment in power should be f***ing ashamed these things exist! Its scandoulous and read a report that working famlies use them as much as the destitute.

And some privellaged toff (who i happen to like) saying its a good thing is out of f***ing touch with the people he represents.

So what's your solution that gives your view such strength? Do you think that binning zero hours contracts and introducing a higher minimum wage will do anything to fix the fact that there are folks at the bottom dependent on hand outs? It's just a fact of human society and will be in every single social/political model.

These Left leaning solutions further inhibit the economy and those individuals that actually aspire to better. I've seen it first hand, a legal rise in minimum wage makes those on the next level up think "why the f**k should I bother with this more responsible position for a pittance more now? I haven't gotten a pay rise".

Not really, it's just one of a thousand stories out there...........I've been listening to a lot about Boris this morning on the radio, no mention of his pay. So no evidence of burying that story as far as I'm concerned ;-)

The motive of putting it out there wouldn't surprise me yeah, but these little tittle tattle stories come all the time. I'm just saying it certainly isn't doing a very good job if you're right.

oh and the reasons i gave earlier. You think politicians deserve or are better peopls who deseŕve free travel free monthly shop etc?

Yes there will always be people in poverty but food banks are now accepted by the powers that be and doing nothing to solve it.

Im not in goverment and tbh im f***ing ashamed they exist in Britain.

There the kind of thing i expect in third world countries.

You asked what id do to solve it. I really don't know im not in goverment and have all the figures, but what i would do is give these c**ts in Westminster a pay cut make them pay there own travel and buy there own food like every other c**t!

The money they save well donate it to a food bank lol

The minimum wage is a load of bollocks.. Every time it goes up, the cost of everything goes up to cover it and people on it are no better off.. Those who are not on it and don't receive a pay rise at the same time end up worse off..

They still provoke a reaction though mate, as the replies on the 1st page show and that reaction is repeated hundreds of thousands of time over the readership of that paper or news channel.

It's a warning shot over Boris the Buffoons bow.

People react to headlines, they base votes on them.......

I agree mate, I think it's howling that people HAVE to use these things.

You would like Phil Robersons book "Un-philtered, the way I see it".........that's how people should be helping people.
