pianoman 3,587
I am a lucky sod that I have an ace girl who appreciates and understands my shooting hobby. We popped into the local gunshop in Woodhall Spa for a tin of ammo and there on the wall are two 2nd hand Webley FX2000s from way back. One was the full-size/length rifle in beautiful, mint condition in .22 calibre, the second is the .22 carbine version. I just happened to say what a cracking gun these were back in their day and they are getting a bit scarce now-a-days. And I wouldn't mind having that .22 long rifle version. Complete combo with a Tasco mildot scope and a decent looking silencer. £350 quid. DONE! She bought it for me! My Birthday's next tuesday. And I thought I was getting a good early Birthday pressie with my Pro Sport. All I know of these is that they were designed and built by Frederik Axxelsonn for Webley and won Airgun Of the Year 2000. People who've owned one or, still do, seem pleased and happy with theirs so, here's hoping she's as good as she looks. Certainly cocks and shoots very smooth with no apparent ills or vices. Looks like the previous owner really looked after her. I'm not expecting she'll be better than anything I currently own. But after Jimmy has regretted selling his Raider from the same era of Webley airguns, I'm pretty confident she's going to be a cracker. Here's to long pellet trials and longer summer nights again. 11 Quote Link to post

I am well pleased for you Simon ................................ the carbine sounds good Phil 1 Quote Link to post
