Freshly Drilled Wheat Fields

Nipped out to an old 13 acre pea field at lunchtime today only to find two tractors drilling wheat and rolling the surface.
A few birds where around and of the 13 I shot, 5 where youngsters without neck bars.
Hopefully the local woodpigeons and corvids will find the spilt seed and the last few remaining peas and we can have some good sport for a couple of weeks.
Then home to dinner cooked by my son.

Do you hunt with a rifle or shotgun ? Good end to a day out .
