Just back up north from a couple of days with Newkid, whitevanman, and snifferboy on the yaks, it was choppy on the Saturday but had a great weekend, caught all sorts but snifferboy had a cracking bass

I'm sure Newkid will do write up when we've sent pics around and he's got 5 mins

I like it with a bit more swell on it but its a good area for them at this time of year. Get gilthead bream down here as well.

yes it is just getting to know your spots. Oddly one of my local spots fishes best on a small tide with a completely flat sea. Sort of goes against the grain as far as bass go with there reputation for a big surf

It all depends what you want to aim for and where youre going to fish. Some places and species a 3 or 31/2lb test curve carp rod and a decent fixed spool reel will suffice Others youll need bigger gear.
