gnipper 6,628
Is there a way of blagging a new sky box off them? Ours is temperamental at times, you'd think they'd do upgrades like with a mobile contract.

Ours is temperamental at times, you'd think they'd do upgrades like with a mobile contract. Call them up and tell them you want to cancel your subscription because the box is on the blink and you don't want to pay out for a new one, if they think that's the only way to keep you on as a customer they'll usually give you a new one.

BGD 6,437
Yep it's always worth threatening to cancel every now and then, they get so desperate to keep hold of you they'll offer all sorts. Same with internet and mobile phone providers Edited September 23, 2017 by BGD

gnipper 6,628
Last time I threatened to cancel the b*****ds let me and left us hanging with no service provider for a month or so. We only have a basic package anyway we've no need for sports or movies etc so that's probably why they let us go.

Same with internet and mobile phone providers it depends on what your paying though and with who, I work for a retentions department of a big isp and we can only do so much no matter what you threaten
MOLE265 792
40 or 50 quid a month for tele??? Ye got more money an time than me haha Bad enough having to pay for the BBC tv license, I've never had any of the other pay to view tv stations and never will. It should all be done through freeview, Dick Turpin hasn't a patch on the robbing b@stards.
