Powerful mate, I don't mind admitting that made me a bit emotional. It's exactly how I and I'm sure many, many like me feel.   I always tell people here I'm a refugee and they laugh and I laugh wit

Hell all it'd take is someone contacting the companies that advertise on this site with a few choice screenshots and they'd threaten to pull their ads if IanB doesn't crack down on certain types of po

A little bit of poetry for this Monday lads https://youtu.be/1KsljBj3UEI

I think you already know the answer to that question pal...

You know it, made me chuckle the other day when someone wrote about Greece and how it's the citizens fault they are in shit and I'm thinking "you do realize most of the U.K. Is 3% points away from ruin don't you?" Lol

A quick phone call from "them" and everyone's life gos down the khazi !!

As I said, folk need to pay attention ;)

It's that old problem of actually getting folk to keep their eye on the slippery c**ts when there isn't an election/referendum going on. Can't really blame them though most folk are so busy trying to keep their heads above water they haven't got the time or energy to keep up with it all.

Almost like the system was designed that way ;)

Spot on BGD, I read the other day there are 8.3 million people who are just holding on......they have missed at least 2 bill payments in the last 6 months.

What's a 1 or 2 % rise in interest rates going to do to them?

And bare in mind, that's probably about 11% of the population !!

They should of been more aspirational Wilf & not of done silly things like borrowing money.....tut tut ;-)

Now that is a statistic that should make everyone sit up and take notice! Folk don't realise just how close to the cliff edge they are...

Millions of families with no savings whatsoever too, just one month without pay and they're missing the mortgage/rent payment and staring down the barrel of homelessness. And we all know how secure the average blokes job is these days... Terrifying.

It's clever as f**k how they have set things up mate, any master criminal would be proud to have dreamed it up.

Just check out how they have shifted where the biggest part of your income has to be devoted to compared to 50+ years ago ;)

Take a ways and childcare nurserys have at least benefitted ;)

It's catch 22 though with living costs and the ability to save, along with recommended pensions, just not feasible for most folk. I've been living hand to mouth most of my life, and still am, but everything for the last few years has been to get away from that, which for me meant emigrating, building an afforable home with no mortgage and so on, but there are negatives and certainly sacrifices, it's trying to work out the better route...Atb Joe

I understand the negatives of moving away mate but I think you have to keep sight of the massive positive and that is you are putting your destiny in your own hands.

You can't put a price on that and you can't believe the feeling of calmness it gives you.

It will be well worth it mate.

These pure fuckers in Westminster are just abusing people (imho)......f**k em and f**k their game ;)

On average earnings it really can be a toss-up between living now or living for retirement & it's a gamble either way.

Frivolously enjoy life now & risk struggling like f**k in retirement or live a frugal life, often full of sacrifices & staying in, then get diagnosed with cancer before you retire!

Joe, you wouldn't believe how many lads I have spoken to that have said, almost word for word, what you have written in that post.

I find that very, very sad for lads......it's not living, it's just existing while some other prick making the rules enjoys the fruit of your Labour......it's just plain wrong mate.

But, at least you have clued on and are doing something about it......do it as quick as you can, you won't be sorry.

Yep, I don't see any point in looking back to by Gone eras though, it's depressing, bit like most of the race/culture related topics, the only point I can see to it would be to ascertain what you do want from the place you live in. For most I'd imagine it would be less people, less traffic, maybe better opportunity etc. Then make a decision on how much you want to achieve it and where you could possibly achieve it.

It's important to remember what we had and not forget what's been taken away from us . Depressing yes but still important

Totally agree Joe, I was back in England playing a reunion football match a little while ago and some of those lads I hadn't seen for years.

So they were all interested as to why I just packed up and f****d off........and almost to a man they were all very uncomfortable with just how things are.

Worried about their livelihood, their kids etc etc and generally feeling a bit beaten up......but as I said to them, it's in your hands, if you want to change it enough you will.

I understand for most people it's scary but for it wasn't, for me it was the only logical thing to do.........to me it was complete lunacy to stay and carry on playing the game and moaning about it.

My kids were also a big deciding factor, maybe I could have carried on having the piss taken out of me and watching my area get worse BUT I DID NOT have the right to condemn my kids to the same.

Why would I do it to them?

I agree with all that has been said in the last 2 pages. However tell me a time it wasnt like that. There has always been this huge gap.

I look@the politicians today and just see a shower of work shy greedy b*****ds who thunk its their god given right to be the ones running the show.

Devoid of any compassion, common sense or the ability to do anything other than fill their own pockets! Seriously what the f**k use are they. What do they even do?

its the civil service that runs the country these politicians just come along and tgrow in crackpot ideas that very rarely benefit the man on the street.

May she is no f***ing leader and look at the c**ts in her cabinet. Boris the mans a f***ing snake and not one iota of loyality.

tthen on the other side we have that c**t corbyn who hates the concept of being british and has more sympathy towards them that wish it harm.

Lib dems just a joke as is the greens.

snp another divisive hatefull party!

we dont stand a f***ing chance of shaking these leeches off!

That's why for the first time ever i didnt bother voting in any of there elections.

There has always been rich and poor and there always will be mate, I think the main the main difference is that once upon a time there was the general consensus that you were at least entitled to keep as much of however little or much you had.......and you were left alone as long as common sense prevailed.......and I truly believe that at least back pre war the people in charge genuinely cared about Britain.

It's not like that now, there's an army of people looking for any opportunity to take what's yours, tie you up with rules and regulations and make sure you never get to climb out of the hole.

This mob couldn't give a f**k about the mother country, it's all about how they can exploit Britain and its people.

Jmho
