BGD 6,436
On the subject of anonymity you'd be amazed at the amount of folk who don't strip the EXIF data from their images before posting them... Everything from GPS location of where the picture was taken to the model of phone it was taken with all left there for anyone with the inclination to take a peek at. Something that should bother folk even if they're not posting anything illegal, I mean would you want to hand dog thieves/antis the exact location of where you keep your dogs when you post a couple of snaps taken in your yard? I've just taken this picture now..... 20170918_232229.jpg What can anyone find out from that?? Nothing that I can see Looks like THL scrubs the data when you upload using the site, that's good to know.

ChrisJones 7,975
Stormfront was a racist neo nazi forum tho not a hunting site with the odd bit of racism on it lol Very true, mate, but any breaches of the terms of service can see a site pulled with little warning. Not posting harmful, threatening, or abusive material covers quite a chunk of GT content. Again it's a small corner of a small corner but enough noise in the right email inbox and the whole thing goes away. Our community should be well aware of the damage a vocal minority can cause. The real pisser is that we're bound by the laws of the land where it's accessed and the host can remove the site if it believes you're not following the rules, at its discretion.
South hams hunter 8,926
So if fone not registered to anyone. There f****d i take it lolDepends how you're connecting to the internet. Home WiFi then obviously the have your IP same as if you're using a PC and if you're using mobile internet they'll have location data from the masts. Mobiles are actually probably the least secure way to connect to the internet anonymously... you would only have to use a vpn and/or a tool like tor and you'd be untraceable though. Proxies use to work well as well. The thing with isps and Ips is that a lot are dynamic so your Ip changes all the time so it's actually our activity on those Ips that prove it's you

I think it would be governed by the laws in the country it was registered in. Or maybe the actual servers need to be in that country for that to apply.
